A motion has been granted by Letterkenny Municipal Council for the Ard O’Donnell area, just off High Road, to receive maintenance work.
The motion comes as Cllr Adrian Glackin says the area ‘has had no work done on it for a number of years’.
The area is believed to be at the stage where it is falling into disrepair and now maintenance is being arranged.
Cllr Glackin is set to liaise with the town engineer to establish specifics in relation to what work needs to be carried out in the neighbourhood.
The maintenance required is usually undertaken by groups such as Community Employment Schemes or Local Residence Groups.
