Malin  3-12        V    1-07       Termon                                                                                                                                                                               Benny Fildara McLaughlin scored from a free , a 45 and then from play to give Malin a three point lead after seven minutes , but that lead disappeared  a minute later when Ricky Gallagher and Enda McCormick combined to set up Aiden Sweeney who hammered the ball to the net to level the game.             Caolan McDaid’s free put Termon ahead a minute later but Paul McLaughlin had the teams level in the 11th minute at 0-04 to 1-01.                                                          A minute later Malin were goal ahead, Benny Fildara pounced on a poor short kick-out and when his first shot was brillantly blocked by Kevin McDaid the Malin man followed up to volley the ball into the roof of the net , 1-04 to 1-01 after a hectic first 12 minutes.                                                                                   Daire Mc Daid kicked a point from play and then from play to leave a point init but two excellent points from Ciaran Doherty had the lead out to three again. In between those scores  Termon keeper  Noel O Donnell made a Brillant save to deny John Gerard McLaughlin after Benny Fildara had created the opening.            At half-time it was 1-06 to 1-03 to the home side.                                                        In the fifth minute of the second-half a good Malin presented a goal chance for sub Christy  Fildara but Noel O Donnell denied with a fine save  to keep Termon in the game.                                                                                                                               Charlie Collins reports from Connelly Park.                                                        However the home side went on to dominate that second-half with two Terence Doherty goals as Termon struggled to make any impression.                           Doherty’s goals came in the 49th and 58th minutes while Benny Fildara continued to kick points , Paul McLaughlin  and Adam Byrne also added points while Daire McDaid and Caolan McDaid did the scoring for Termon but they were outplayed in that second-half and two defeats leaves them in a battle to survive against Four Masters next week .  Final score was 3-12 to 1-07 to the Malin men.                                                                                                                     MALIN ;  Daniel Mullarkey  ,  Gary Farren , Damien Harkin , Mick Mc Laughlin , Conor Mc Coglan , Declan Walsh ,  , Ciaran Doherty ( 0-02 ), Adam Byrne ( 0-01 ), John Gerard McLaughlin ,   Oisín McGonagle ,  Stephen McLaughlin ( 0-01 ) ,  Seamus Doherty ,  Brendan McLaughlin  ( 1-06 3f +45 ) ,   Terence Doherty ( 2-00 ) , Paul McLaughlin ( 0-02 ).                                                                                                                                                                                                        SUBS ; Christy McLaughlin for Seamus Doherty ,                                             TERMON ;  Noel O Donnell  ,   Kevin McDaid ,   Paul McDaid ,  Anthony Grant ,  James Doherty ,    Nathan McElwaine , Steve McElwaine  , Aiden Sweeney ( 1-00 ), Jimmy Gallagher ,  Martin Sweeney ,  Caolan McDaid ( 0-02F ), Ricky Gallagher  ,  Daire McDaid ( 0-05 2f ) , Shane Doherty  ,  Enda McCormick  .                                                                                                                                                                                        SUBS  ;  Johnny McCafferty for  Ricky Gallagher ,  Oisín Cassidy  for Martin Sweeney ,                                                                                                                                                                                Referee  ;  James Conners ( St. Eunans ).
