Donegal businesses are being offered an opportunity to attend one of the world’s leading marine tourism trade shows in January 2019.

Donegal County Council has booked a dedicated Donegal stand at Boot Düsseldorf from 19 – 27 January 2019.

This trade show attracts in the region 250,000 visitors from 92 countries each year and is the world’s largest marketplace for sail boats and motor boats.

“This is a great opportunity for Donegal businesses operating in the Marine Tourism sector to exhibit at a major marine tourism trade show in Europe at a reduced cost due to our unique collaborative approach,” says Head of Tourism with Donegal County Council Barney McLaughlin.

“With 250,000 visitors from 92 countries attending the trade show and 2,000 accredited journalists from 42 countries, with around 5,000 articles in print and online media, and more than 350 radio and TV reports annually, this show presents a great opportunity for marine tourism-related businesses in Donegal.

“We are inviting expressions of interest from those who wish to attend the show to promote their business. Donegal County Council’s Tourism Unit has booked stand space in the destination hall 13 – Travel World and there will be opportunities for businesses to present on the main stage in the Travel World area.”

Those interested in promoting their business at this event should submit their expression of interest online at bit.ly/Boot2019Donegal before 17th October 2018.
