Donegal singer Daniel O’Donnell’s entertainment firm had a slight drop in profits last year, down to €2.66million for 2017.
Daniel sits on the board of DOD Promotion Ltd with his wife Majella and niece Patricia Swan.
New accounts lodged by the singer to the Companies Office show that DOD Promotions Ltd’s cash pile dropped by €77,014 in 2017.
In 2016, the firm had a €123,343 fall in accumulated profits.
The company’s finance reports, as revealed in the Irish Independent, show that the company’s current assets also decreased to from €1.76m to €1.52m last year. The fixed assets are valued at €1m.
Daniel and Majella are currently in the USA on their American Road Trip for a new RTE travel series. Yesterday, Daniel was honoured with a Humanitarian Award at the Minot Høstfest in North Dakota.
The award recognizes people whose efforts have contributed significantly to the betterment of humanity.
Daniel was chosen for a place on the 2018 Scandinavian-American Hall of Fame for his entertainment contributions to the festival since 2008 and his work with charitable causes, including the Romanian Challenge Appeal.
