Three awards for Finn Valley AC at Athletics Northern Ireland Awards

There was triple joy for Finn Valley AC last night at the Athletic Northern Ireland Awards.

High jumper Sommer Lecky was honoured as Junior Athlete of the Year.

Lecky has been in stunning form of late.

Having won a Commonwealth Youth Games gold medal in 2017, Lecky this year won silver at the World Under-20 Championships in Finland – clearing 1.90 metres – and finished tenth at the Commonwealth Games in Australia. 

The Performance Coach of the Year was Niall Wilkinson – Lecky’s coach.

Another Finn Valley man, Tom Thompson, was the Official of the Year.
