Listen: Yvonne Bonner reacts after Glenfin Ladies reach Ulster semi final

Yvonne Bonner came back to inspire Glenfin Ladies as she hit 2-4 to book Glenfin’s place in the Ulster semi-final.

The Donegal forward is one of two more women’s Gaelic footballers to have recently signed deals with Australian Football Rules clubs.

Bonner has agreed on a contract with West Sydney Giants while Clare’s Ailish Considine has become the first non-Australian to sign for Adelaide Crows.

Just back from Australia, she was the focal point for Glenfin as they secured a 16 point victory over Lurgan from Cavan.

“In the second half, they really came out and give it out to us but thankfully we had the goal and I suppose we might’ve taken the foot off the pedal but we still could pick it up when we needed too,” she said.

“With that strong wind as well it was hard for them to get the kick out’s out, so when we put the pressure on we kept them down their side of the field for a while in the second half.”
