Listen: Dermot Molloy says Naomh Conaill ‘desperate’ to make up for 2017

Dermot Molloy says Naomh Conaill are ‘desperate’ to make up for the disappointment of last year’s Championship final defeat to Kilcar.

Naomh Conaill scored just once in the second half of last year’s decider and watched as Kilcar took receipt of Dr Maguire.

Now, though, Naomh Conaill are back in the final as Molloy’s goal booked their tickets back to Sean MacCumhaill Park. His goal was the golden moment in a 1-11 to 0-12 win for the Glenties residents.

“The goal was a massive turning point – it gave us a foothold in the game,” Molloy beamed.

“I think we came here with a good plan and it worked.

“We’re just delighted to be back in the final because we didn’t do ourselves justice last year. It’s one we’re desperate for.”
