St Eunan’s College are back in the MacRory Cup this term – and the Letterkenny school aim to stay in the competition until after Christmas.
St Eunan’s begin their MacRory bid tomorrow when they face Patrician High School from Carrickmacross in Durmragh (throw-in 2pm).

Managed by former Donegal star Colm McFadden, a maths teacher in the school, St Eunan’s are also joined by St Paul’s of Bessbrook and St Patrick’s from Armagh in Section D.
“We have to try and build from every training and challenge game,” McFadden says.
“We want to get better, strong and to learn from the mistakes.
“The boys’ attitude and commitment has been top class. They’re out three times a week and are in the gym twice a week. It’s all coming from the players.
“Our main target is to play MacRory Cup football after Christmas.”
St Eunan’s are backboned by a lot of players who reached the MacLarnon Cup final earlier this year, but lost a replay to Holy Trinity, Cookstown by the narrowest of margins, going down 2-8 to 0-13.
St Eunan’s have bid farewell to the likes of Eoin O’Boyle, Ryan Hilferty, Brian Diver, Peter McEniff and PJ McBrearty from the class of last term.
But McFadden can still call on Shane O’Donnell, Conor O’Donnell, Shane McDevitt.

“A lot of lads have a good MacLarnon Cup campaign or two behind them. That will stand to them. We have nine players from the Buncrana Cup too.”
