Jason Quigley acted on his promise to bring the NABF middleweight belt back home – and now he has vowed to bring a world title to Donegal.

A week after a unanimous decision win over Freddy Hernandez in California saw him retain the NABF strap, a homecoming reception was held last night at the Villa Rose Hotel in Ballybofey.

The 27-year-old Quigley saw a recent chance to fight Ryota Murata for the WBA world middleweight belt taken from him when the governing body ordered Murata to fight mandatory challenger Rob Brant. But Quigley can feel the big days are closing in.

And the Golden Boy Promotions boxer reiterated a desire to have a homecoming fight – but promised that it will be a massive show when it happens.

Watch an interview with Jason by Charlie Collins in the below package, put together by Brendan O’Donnell of Jacksonsmediatv
