Letterkenny Golf Course is managing the wet wetter much more
efficiently this year than previous years, because of the many competitions taking place from Sunday 4th to Sunday 11th of November.

The four ball scramble played on Sun. 04/11/18. While
naturally weather conditions dictate on the day playing,  it is hoped
to have another Scramble shortly.

Winners of the Scramble – K. Rafferty, Captain
Hugh McClafferty, J.P. Clarke, & A. McClafferty. (Also in team was P.
O’Kane). 58.8

In 2nd place Scramble on Sun. 04/11/18 L/R L. Wiseman, L. Speer,
Captain Hugh McClafferty & J. Russell. (Also on the team was B.
O’Donnell). 58.9

The Connolly’s Mercedes Open (re-arranged) was played off on Sat.
10/11/18. There was a big turnout for this competition . Barry
Kavanagh (10.7) was the winner with an excellent score of 42 pts.
Barry had two birdies, one on 4th and 9th along with 10 pars. Michael
McElhinney (13.3) was runner up with 40 pts. and Greg Sullivan (15.4)
was third with 39 pts.

There was a big turnout on Sun 11th for the Members Open. Shaun
McGlinchey (26.7) won the competition with a great score of 41 pts.
Jackie Duffy (19.1) was close behind as runner up with 39 pts. and
John Bowe (18.0) was third with 38 pts.  Eugene O’Donnell (away) won
gross with 38 pts.

Members are reminded that Quiz Night has now commenced for the winter
being run on Friday nights at 10p.m. and Cards (25) are being played
every Wednesday night at 8p.m.
