Seamus Sharkey to leave Sligo Rovers, player confirms

Seamus Sharkey has confirmed that he has parted company with Sligo Rovers.

The defender spent the last two seasons with the Bit O’Red following previous spells at Derry City and Limerick FC.

Sharkey featured regularly for the club under Gerard Lyttle.

Liam Buckley has since taken over at the Showgrounds.

Isle of Man-born Sharkey, whose family moved to Newtowncunningham at a young age, said in a tweet: “Thank You Sligo Rovers  A Great Two Years… God Knows What’s Next #AnyJobsGoing”
