Barry Doherty returned to Kilcar hotseat for 2019 season

Barry Doherty is set to have a third campaign as the Kilcar manager.

Doherty guided Kilcar to the 2017 Donegal SFC, in what was his first year at the helm, and has been returned to the position at the club AGM this weekend.

An injury-hit Kilcar relinquished their hold on Dr Maguire this year.

Without Patrick McBrearty and Ryan McHugh, Kilcar lost a quarter-final to Naomh Conaill in Donegal town and saw Mark McHugh limp out of that game in the first half.

Doherty played for Kilcar and also had a spell as Na Rossa manager in 2016.

In early 2017, he took over from Martin McHugh in Kilcar and took the Towney club to a League and Championship double that year.
