Job Vacancies: Magee 1866 are now seeking candidates for a number of positions in Donegal Town –

  • Content Manager
  • Social Media Manager
  • IT/Admin Support Assistant

Magee was established in 1866. We specialise in luxury design, weaving and tailoring. Our collections for men, women and home encompass our unique heritage with a contemporary twist.

We have the following vacancies – all full-time and based at our premises in Donegal Town.

CONTENT MANAGER

The successful applicant will have responsibility for content creation and management across several platforms.   A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Responsible for creating an excellent user experience aiming to increase sales.
  • Develop and upload creative content whilst ensuring that the on-line brand message is consistent with other platforms.
  • Create and execute email campaigns including landing pages to increase traffic and conversion and optimize email campaign performance through A/B testing and segmentation.
  • Troubleshoot code and technical issues affecting content display.
  • Ensure web content is search engine optimized and aligned with the company marketing strategy.
  • Manage A/B testing of the marketing placements across the websites, including the test strategy, segmentation, results, analysis and recommendation.

KEY REQUIREMENTS :

  • Meticulous attention to detail, both with the written word and imagery plus the ability to write creative descriptions for product and the overall site.
  • Proficiency with SEM tools and platforms (e.g. Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Bing Webmaster, Google Adwords, etc.).
  • Expert knowledge of HTML and CSS with experience in Responsive design.
  • SEO experience.
  • Graphics skills, ie Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Interest in fashion would be a distinct advantage as would the ability to suggest styling options.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, imagination and innovation plus a can-do proactive approach combined with high energy levels.

 

SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT

The ideal candidate will have a knowledge and understanding of how social media platforms work and their role in today’s commercial world with a minimum of 2 – 3 years’ experience in a commercial, creative, social media or marketing role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and manage the social media plan for all social channels within set budgets.
  • Work with Marketing and E-Commerce teams to create relevant and engaging content in keeping with the brand ethos and linked with online and in-store marketing.
  • Clearly identify and communicate social media requirements for each campaign brief.
  • Produce regular social media reports for internal circulation and if appropriate, make relevant improvements for future campaigns.
  • Creation of visual content including photography and video for use across all social media platforms.


KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills with experience in managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent photography, videography, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Graphic skills would be beneficial.
  • Genuine passion and interest in high quality menswear, womenswear and home accessories.
  • Experience in reporting on social media stats – particularly on engagement and reach and conducting competitor analysis.
  • Passionate, dynamic, enthusiastic with a can-do proactive approach combined with high energy levels.
  • Ability to identify when to work in an autonomous way and when to seek additional support plus the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external teams.

 

IT/ADMIN SUPPORT ASSISTANT

The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, enthusiastic, willing to take instruction but also able to work on their own initiative. Full training will be provided for this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily support to the IT Manager and the Retail Head Office to cover all aspects of the business in various locations.  
  • Maintenance of Retail EPOS stock system including product set-up, stock receipts and barcoding.  This is a data entry task so accuracy is essential.
  • Magee B2B system, including updating stock and customer details. 


KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • An interest in technology.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional accuracy for all data entry elements of the role.
  • Excellent numeracy skills.
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritise at peak times.
  • Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
