Padraig McGettigan’s brace of goals helped fire St Eunan’s into the semi-finals of the Ulster Minor Club Football Tournament.

St Eunan’s 3-11 Errigal Ciaran 1-15

St Eunan’s led from start to finish, but had only two points to spare as they edged out Errigal Ciaran.

Oisin McGarvey netted the first goal in the second minute when he got on the end of a McGettigan pass and fired home.

Barely five minutes later, McGettigan fisted to the net for a second St Eunan’s goal, rising to divert home from a Sean Breen ball in.

St Eunan’s led 2-6 to 0-7 at half-time and they moved eight ahead when McGettigan tucked home from a rebound after Conor O’Donnell had a shot saved.

Tiernan Colhoun’s goal gave Errigal Ciaran a glimmer of hope, but they ran out of time and St Eunan’s move on.

St Eunan’s: Eoin O’Boyle; Eoin Dowling, Anthony Gallagher, Conor McKinney; Peter McEniff, Sean Ryan, Domhnall Higgins; James Kelly, Shane O’Donnell (0-3); Sean Breen, Conor O’Donnell (0-4, 2f), Ronan McGeehin (0-1); Cormac Finn, Padraig McGettigan (2-2, 1f), Oisin McGarvey (1-1). Subs: Ciaran Moore for McGeehin, Michael Gallagher for Finn, Kieran Tobin for Breen.
