Ramelton’s Catherine Grier is in Finland with the Irish Deaf Women’s Futsal Team ahead of the EDSA European Championships.
Grier, who plays for the Donegal Women’s League in the U17 National League, is part of the Dave Bell-managed squad which begins action in Tampere on Friday.
Ireland begin their Championships against Spain, followed by matches against Germany and Norway on the following two days.
The team have been training in recent weeks for the tournament, after qualifying earlier this year and have been boosted by a new sponsorship deal. Hidden Hearing is Ireland’s leading provider of hearing healthcare and will sponsor the team throughout the European Championships.
