Killybegs man Shaun Kelly has put pen to paper for another season at Limerick FC.

The defender was part of the Shannonside outfit relegated by Finn Harps in the play-offs, but has committed to the Blues for 2019.

Kelly first signed for Limerick in 2011, having been at Dundalk and Galway following a move back from Hearts in Scotland.

Kelly did have a year at Derry City, from July 2014-July 2015, but has been at Limerick at some stage in each of the last eight years.

“Limerick FC are delighted to announce Shaun Kelly returning for the 2019 season!!” the club said.

“On the return of Kelly,Manager Barrett made clear his delight at Kelly’s return speaking of the experience Shaun brings to the team as well as his guidance to the younger players!”
