Rory Dunleavy was delighted to see his Donegal Town Reserves earn a point at Glencar Celtic yesterday.

A scoreless draw at Flagpole Park was hard-fought, but the results yesterday keep the margins tight at the top.

“We’re delighted with that,” Dunleavy said.

“They showed a wee bit of bite and spirit. All you can ask any Saturday is that they do that.

“The point was very good for us.”

Heading into the Christmas break, there are only seven points between the top seven teams.

Dunleavy said: “It’s game on now. It’s encouraging. We’re all losing points here and there. I think this was definitely a point won for us.”
