Donegal residents warned about Christmas postage deadline

Donegal residents have been advised to post cards and packages as soon as possible to ensure they arrive at their destinations in time for Christmas.

An Post have advised that parcels for European destinations – outside of the UK – should be in the post this weekend.

Tuesday is the latest date to be sure of card delivery to mainland Europe in time for Christmas.

Parcels and cards to the UK should also be posted by Tuesday and, by Wednesday for post destined for Irish addresses.

An Post advises customers to provide a return address on all items so as to allow for their safe return if they cannot be delivered.

All post offices are open this morning.
