Grace Boyle says the 2019 RunDonegal Women’s 5k can be a record-breaking year for the event.

The RunDonegal Women’s 5k will take place on Sunday, March 31, at 11am, based out of the Finn Valley Centre and will be run in aid of the Brid Carr Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.

“I’m determined that we can get to the 1,000 people taking part,” Ms Boyle, one of the chief organisers, said at yesterday evening’s launch.

“We feel Donegal women will come out and support the worthy charity. We are trying to create awareness for women and getting the ‘detect early’ message out there.

“We’ve been running this for 12 years now.  We started with maybe 30 girls and it’s unbelievable what Donegal has achieved.”
