Grier on the double to send Doncaster to Champions League semis

Catherine Grier scored twice today as Doncaster Rovers sealed a place in tomorrow’s European Deaf Champions League semi-finals.

Grier was on the double as Doncaster defeated PS Sordapiciena from Italy 5-1 in Stuttgart.

Grier’s two goals came after the Ramelton woman also netted in a 5-2 group win over CDC Altatorre from Spain. A further 9-1 win over Dresdner sealed a quarter-final berth.

Grier, who played for the Donegal Women’s League U17s in 2018, has been suffering from a bout of ‘flu tis week, but has been among the goals.

Doncaster now face GSG Stuttgart, who are on home territory, in a semi-final tomorrow at 11.30am.
