Portsalon Golf: Full results from the New Year’s Day Champagne Scramble

Portsalon started 2019 with a busy schedule as the New Year’s Eve 4BBB and New Year’s Day Champagne Scramble got things underway for the new year. Full results below.

AGM – Friday 11th January

A reminder to members that the AGM takes place in the Clubhouse this Friday (11th) @ 8pm. Members are encouraged to attend and take interest in the running and future of the club.

Captain’s Drive-In

The Captain’s Drive-In for 2019 will be held on Sunday 13th January at 10am. This will be followed by a four-person scramble with a shotgun start at 10.30am.

If you wish to be included in the draw please make sure your name is on the time-sheet before Thursday. You will play in the four-ball that you are on the time-sheet with and there will be a draw for which tee you start on. This will be followed by soup and sandwiches in the Clubhouse afterwards.

Pair of Holes-In-One for Patrick Page

Most golfers will be happy with one ‘hole-in-one’ in their time but Portsalon youngster Patrick Page bettered that tally in back-to-back rounds over the New Year period.

Patrick ‘aced’ the 10th hole on Saturday week past with a nine-iron off the tee and followed that on Saturday with another ‘ace’ at the par-three 15th where, once again, he holed out with his trusted nine-iron.
