Donegal are set to be without Michael Murphy for the first half of their Allianz League Division 2 programme.

The Donegal captain underwent minor knee surgery last week, according to a report in this morning’s Irish Daily Star.

The Glenswilly ace is now set to be missing for the opening trio of League games of 2019.

Donegal begin life in Division 2 with an away trek to Clare on January 27. Declan Bonner’s men have games against Meath and Tipperary to follow before the break in the League.
