Today’s FAI Schools Senior ‘B’ Girls National Cup Final, involving Mulroy College, Milford has been called off.

Mulroy were due to face St Laurence College, Loughlinstown at United Park, the home of Drogheda United FC, at lunchtime today in the final.

However, the game was postponed early this morning due to the bad weather that has swept across the country.

Karen Henry’s Mulroy defeated St Joseph’s SS, Foxford 3-2 in the semi-final, with Catherine Grier scoring twice.

St Laurence, for their part, overcame Midleton College 2-0 in their semi.

Mulroy are the Cup holders, having beaten Midleton in last year’s final.

The final is expected to be re-arranged for next week.
