Nine years after her last appearance at Croke Park, Karen Guthrie says she’s ‘buzzing’ ahead of a return to GAA headquarters on Saturday.

Donegal take on Dublin the Lidl Ladies National Football League Division 1 opener on Saturday evening (5pm, live on TG4).

In 2010, Guthrie was part of a Donegal side that defeated Waterford in the All-Ireland Intermediate final and can’t wait to grace the hallowed turf again.

“We’re buzzing,” Guthrie told Jerome Quinn.

“We’re really looking forward to it. It’s going to b fantastic to play at Croke Park in the league opener.

“It’ll be brilliant. Even the surface, it’s nothing like you’d be used to in Donegal!”
