Finn Harps players Luke McGlynn and Conor Campbell both started for the Republic of Ireland U15s yesterday.

McGlynn and Campbell were involved form the off in the 1-1 draw with Spain in their opening match of an International Tournament in Spain.

The hosts won a penalty shootout 4-1.

McGlynn was in midfield while Campbell was up front.

Both players have featured before the Irish U15s.

Ireland took the lead on the stroke of half-time through Cian Kelly.

Spain’s equaliser came from David Pecellin in the 50th-minute. Under tournament rules, all drawn matches conclude with a penalty shootout, as the home side scored all four of their efforts to win 4-1.

Tommy Fogarty scored Ireland’s only penalty.

Ireland play their second match of the tournament on Friday afternoon against the Netherlands at 4pm (5pm Spanish time) before Sunday’s concluding fixture against Hungary.
