A phenomenal crowd turned out in Newtown on Saturday to take part in the Dash for Diddler 5k in support of popular and much-respected fellow runner Paul Dillon.

Club Chairman Liam Tinney was the first 24/7 member to finish in a time of 19:29.

New member Rory Grant had a brilliant run of 20:50, with Mark Hunter just 3seconds behind in 20:53. Keith Gordon ran very well also, crossing the finish line in 21:01. Margaret Kelly had another fine race finishing in  21:31, with Aidan McFadden hot on her heels finishing in 21:32.

Philip Robinson was just ahead of his sister Emma McGee, who finished in 21:49 and 21:59 respectively. Niamh McDaid had a brilliant run finishing in 22:29, with Anne Robinson not too far behind crossing the line in a time of 22:54. Terence Quinn had a good run of 24:06.

It was great to see Karol Harvey making a return to the racing scene; Karol finished in 26:34. Well done also to Sam Bogan and Ciaran Callaghan who took part along with their kids. It was great to see such a good 24/7 crowd present.

Club Information Night

The club information night will take place this Monday 25th February at Century Cinema. Start time is 6.45pm. All club members are welcome; please spread the word to anyone you think may be interesting in triathlon/joining the club. There will be no track session to facilitate this.

Sprint Duathlon
