Excitement is at an all time high at Mulroy Woods Hotel as they sweep the board in Irish Hotel Award nominations.

Not only that, but the Milford hotel has picked up three of the most coveted titles in the travel industry in recent weeks.

The Upcoming 2019 Irish Hotel Awards have revealed that Mulroy Woods is in the running for four accolades:

  • Wedding Hotel of the Year
  • Romantic Hotel of the Year
  • 3 Star Hotel of the Year
  • Hotel Bar of the Year

Owner Patricia Kelly told Donegal Daily: “I am blown away that the hotel has been shortlisted in four different categories for these prestigious awards. The Irish Hotel Awards is a stalwart within the hospitality industry and to be shortlisted in so many categories, is in itself a great honour.”

Patricia continued: “It is a true reflection on the whole team here at Mulroy Woods. These shortlists come on the back of having been mystery shopped by the Irish Hotel Awards, the inspectors stayed and sampled the food here in the hotel and experienced first-hand the level of customer care and service we deliver.”

In the past two weeks, Mulroy Woods have also received their very first TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice Award, Booking.com’s Guest Review Award and Failte Ireland Service Excellence Certification.

The Mulroy Woods Team celebrate awards season

Patricia said: “As we head into our busiest season yet, the momentum Mulroy Woods has at the moment is electric. Over the past four years the property has been upgraded throughout, with the renovations currently underway on the main banqueting suite, which can host up to 500 people for weddings, parties and dances.

“The hotel is going from strength to strength. The team is excited and eager to begin the summer season. It is wonderful for all the staff to get the appreciation and acknowledgement for all their hard work. Our staff are the most important part of our business and these awards are down to their hard work and dedication.”
