A Donegal restaurant and children’s fitness franchise are among the latest businesses to be presented with coveted All-Star Accreditation.

Nancy’s Barn in Ballyliffin and RINKA Ireland were honoured to receive the best-in-class quality mark for indigenous businesses.

The accreditation is overseen by the All-Ireland Business Foundation and signifies the highest standards of service and trust. Local entrepreneurs attended a special ceremony in Croke Park on March 12th to receive their awards.

Donegal Town businesswoman Sarah Gillespie, founder of RINKA, expressed her delight that the ‘nerve-wracking’ adjudication process was a success.

RINKA Ireland, and its network of nationwide branches of children’s fitness instructors, already prides itself on its customer care and attention, especially to the children attending classes, but to gain outside recognition of this brings a real sense of pride.

“At the end of the day, parents are trusting us with the wellbeing of their children – there is no role of greater importance! Now that we have the All-Star, parents can be even more certain of the level of care they will receive as a RINKA member,” added Sarah.

“I couldn’t be prouder of my team of RINKA Kids Fitness instructors than I am today. They are the ones carrying the RINKA flag in their area and positively impacting children’s lives every day.”

Also celebrating their recognition was Kieran Duey Doherty and his team at Nancy’s Barn. The restaurant is best known as the home of the world’s best seafood chowder, having won the Great Chowder Cook-Off in America in 2017 and additional titles since then.

Kieran said he was ‘honoured and proud’ to be accepting the All-Star Business award.

He said: “It was a tough 5 stage interview over a few month period.

“We are super proud to receive such an award for our wee business Nancy’s Barn Ballyliffin, and of course Ballyliffin village, the Inishowen peninsula and most importantly our beautiful County Donegal.

“I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all our fabulous staff, family, customer support, who believed in us from the beginning.”
