The high winds and high seas of Storm Gareth last night created extreme conditions along the coastline of Donegal.
Mountaineer and Unique Ascent adventurer Iain Miller was out on Cruit Island on Tuesday when the violent seas surged.
Iain took a video of the scenes to capture the real essence of the powerful Wild Atlantic.
He said: “An hour or two in the company of Storm Gareth on Cruit Island, western Donegal, as the sun began to think about setting this afternoon. Wind gusting over 100km/hr and the sea a chaotic mash of white water and thick salt foam.”
A Status Orange wind warning remains in place for Donegal until 9am this Wednesday.
The public is warned to take care due to damaging gusts of 110 to over 130km/h and a risk of coastal flooding due to high seas.
