Donegal’s leading Home Care company has announced that it is to employ 70 care staff around the county.

Recruiters for Bluebird Care are set to be travelling around the county interviewing and meeting new staff under this major expansion for 2019.

Bluebird Care is going from strength to strength after being set up in 2009 by local businessman and general nurse Marty Kelly.

As part of their growth, they are looking for new staff of all levels of experience and qualification.

Marty explained ‘Just recently we have introduced a brand-new system for paying staff depending on their level of experience and Fetac qualification. We now have 3 levels of carer grade, from a person that is looking to join the care profession with no training and no qualification to the top-level carer with a Fetac Level 5 (8 Modules) and 2 years’ experience. Carers with Bluebird Care now have a career with opportunity to progress up the levels. At the same time if a new staff member has the training and experience, they can join us at the top level’.

Bluebird Care are a well-established Home Care company based in Letterkenny, while they care for people, from infants to older people, throughout the entire county.

There are many benefits to working for Bluebird Care.

Marty said: ‘Our current staff are delighted with the new carer grades, it’s working very well, new staff can also expect other benefits such as guaranteed hours, paid mileage, uniforms supplied, training, Bluebird Care loyalty scheme (PERKS Card) giving discounts in shops etc.

‘On the clinical side we are a nurse led business headed by myself and our CNM2 Annette Duddy. We offer 24-hour support so our staff and clients have the peace of mind that we are always contactable in the event of an emergency.’

Bluebird Care are holding interviews in various locations across the county. Anyone interested in an interview or a chat about joining the team, please contact their office on 074 91 29562 to book a spot.
