Three schoolgirls from Deele College in Raphoe have got through to the National semi-finals of the FORÓIGE (NFTE) Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship Awards in Dublin.
Saffron Porter, Stephanie Harper and Ellie Barron received the backing of Donegal TD Joe McHugh and Donegal boxer Jason Quigley when promoting their product “Clean Guard”.
Posting on Facebook, Jason Quigley said he wished the girls the best in the next phase of the entrepreneurship awards.
“Big thank you to the Clean Guard team for my gum shield cleaner,” Quigley said. “Great idea and something all top athletes in contact sports should have.
“(It) cleans all the bacteria that we don’t realize is in our gum shields and prevents sicknesses and lets you perform to your best.
“Wishing the team all the best in the semi-final for creating this idea.
“Good luck and thanks for my own clean guard,” the boxer concluded.
