Three Gaoth Dobhair players were honoured at Saturday night’s AIB GAA Club Players’ Awards at Croke Park.

Kevin Cassidy, Odhrán Mac Niallais and Odhrán McFadden-Ferry were recipients of awards.

The trio were named in the Team of the Year while Cassidy was also on the short-list for the Player of the Year prize – an award won by Corofin’s Kieran Molloy.

Cassidy the line for his team as Gaoth Dobhair won Donegal and Ulster Club titles in 2018. The former Donegal star contributed vital scores including 1-2 in the provincial semi-final and two points in the final against Scotstown.

Mac Niallais – whose return to the Donegal panel is in question – had a superb year that included a Man of the Match display in the Ulster final, while McFadden-Ferry’s excellent displays in holding off some of Ulster’s top forwards were rewarded with a call-up to the Donegal panel.
