Finn Harps have been handed a derby clash with Derry City in the EA Sports Cup quarter-finals.

Harps will be away to the Candystripes – the EA Sports Cup holders – in the last eight tie, pencilled in to take place at the end of May.

The draw was conducted this evening at Abbotstown.

Derry won the EA Sports Cup last season when they overcame Cobh Ramblers at the Brandywell.

And Harps will now travel to the Lone Moor Road venue for the quarter-final next month. This evening’s draw follows a sometimes-tempestuous derby clash in Ballybofey on Friday night.

The quarter-finals are scheduled for Monday, May 27 – meaning two trips in just four days for Harps to the Brandywell. The teams are due to meet on May 24 in the Premier Division.

EA SPORTS Cup – Quarter-Final Draw

Bohemians v Cork City
Bray Wanderers v Waterford
Derry City v Finn Harps
Dundalk v U.C.D.
