The Ulster FA have rejected an appeal by Kilmacrennan Celtic against sanctions imposed by the Donegal Junior League’s disciplinary committee.
Kilmacrennan lodged an appeal against two suspensions for players following a Premier Division game against Castlefin Celtic last month.
A raft of penalties were imposed by the Donegal Junior League following the incidents at the game on March 24 at Flagpole Park in Rathmullan.
Kilmacrennan Celtic appealed on procedural grounds, but the Ulster FA upheld the Donegal League’s decision following a hearing on Tuesday evening.
While Kilmacrennan hold the right of appeal to the Football Association of Ireland, the Lurgysiders have opted not to pursue the matter further.
Length bans were dished out to two Kilmacrennan Celtic officials. Adrian Doherty was hit with a 12-game suspension and Raymond Shields given a six-match ban.
Kilmacrennan players Kieran Gorman (4 games), Mark Friel (3 games) and Daire McDaid (2 games) were also given bans.
A monetary fine was also imposed on the club.
Castlefin’s Gary McNulty was given a two-match ban and also had a fine imposed.
