Mulroy Hoops and Letterkenny Blaze have won top awards in the Basketball Ireland Annual Awards for the 2018/19 season.

Mulroy Hoops have been named as the Club of the Year by the National Area Boards Committee.

Mulroy Hoops were formed ten years ago and have been competing in Leagues for four years now.

The club has gone from strength-to-strength with membership rising from 20 to 140.

In March, Mulroy girls won the All-Ireland title, beating Athlone 30-25.

The Club of the Year award had been won by Killester and Templeogue previous years.

There is further joy for Donegal basketball. Letterkenny Blaze underage coaches have been collectively awarded the Women’s Underage Coach of the Year award.

The awards ceremony will take place on May 11th, 2019, at Croke Park.
