Gardaí have revealed that three youths are the main suspects behind a recent burglary at the Aura Leisure Centre in Letterkenny.

The leisure centre was broken into last Tuesday, 30th April, between 11.20pm and 11.30pm.

Nothing was taken in the incident, while it is believed that the suspects were spooked by the alarm and fled shortly after gaining entry.

However, significant damage was caused to the pool-side emergency exit door.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed: “We believe that the burglary was carried out by three youths wearing dark clothing or hoodies with their hoods up.”

An appeal has been launched for witnesses or anyone with any information to come forward and assist with the investigation.

Any information to Letterkenny Garda Station would be appreciated in relation to this incident on 074/9167100 or to the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 11.
