Donegal’s minor ladies booked a place in the Ulster final after seeing off Armagh in Monday’s semi-final and manager James McGinley has now urged his squad to keep thier nerve ahead of the final on Sunday.

Donegal will now play Monaghan in the Minor A final following an impressive 4-9 to 0-6 blitz over Armagh last week.

Speaking to Charlie Collins before Sunday’s final, McGinley said it was an occasion the group had in their sights all year.

“We are (looking forward to the final), it is something that we set out for at the start of the year to get to and we got through and we are in the final, it is a good place to be in.

“This group of individuals are never going to play in an Ulster Championship match again because after Sunday that is it, so, for themselves it is a case of being focused and there is a trophy there to be won.

“Nerves play a certain element and it will probably be a case of whatever teams settle best and get moving earliest will more than likely come out on top.

“So, it will be something that we will be focusing on.”

You can listen below to McGinley’s thoughts on Donegal’s journey so far, what an Ulster title victory would mean for this group and his plan for their fellow finalist Monaghan on Sunday.
