Institute have confirmed the signing of Cockhill Celtic forward Brendan McLaughlin.

‘Stute boss John Quigg has been actively pursuing new recruits since taking over at the Irish League Premier Division side and has already added Letterkenny Rovers defender Conor Tourish to his ranks.

Quigg managed Derry City Reserves in the Ulster Senior League and knows the local intermediate scene well.

Quigg is a fan of McLaughlin, who helped Cockhill to USL glory in his first campaign at the club. Previously, McLaughlin played for his native Culdaff FC in the Inishowen League and, in 2015, he scored twice as Inishowen League beat AUL in the Oscar Traynor Trophy final.

McLaughlin will link up with former Cockhill attacker Ronan Doherty at his new club.

TRANSFER NEWS:

Institute FC are delighted to announce that we have just signed 25yr old forward Brendan McLaughlin from Ulster Senior League Champions Cockhill Celtic.
