Watch: See Conrad Logan’s ‘Banks-esque’ save for Mansfield in play-off

Conrad Logan made a wonder save on Thursday night as Mansfield Town drew one-all at Newport County in the League Two play-off semi-final first leg.

The Ramelton man made a strong of top stops at Rodney Parade to keep Newport at bay.

The pick of Logan’s lot saw him keep out Jamille Matt’s header with a save that was likened to a famous stop from Gordon Banks to deny Pele.

Mansfield looked set to win as CJ Hamilton’s early goal gave them the edge, but finally Logan was beaten when Padraig Amond scored after Logan saved his penalty.

The teams go at it again at Field Mill on Sunday in the second leg.
