A Letterkenny homeowner has their pet dog to thank for frightening away a burglar last night.
Gardaí are seeking information in relation to the burglary at Rann Mor Meadow, which occurred on Monday 13th of May at around 10:50 pm.
The suspect gained entry through double PVC doors at the back of the house.
However, a dog was in the kitchen to alert the owner of the house and the burglar left without anything being taken.
