After a closely contested opening quarter, Termon rattled in four first-half goals and were out of sight at the break as they led by 4-06 to 0-03.

Termon 7-14  Moville 0-08

Geraldine McLaughlin did most of the damage in that second quarter, scoring 2-02 and further goals by Roisin Friel and Bridget Gallagher really ended the game as a contest, although to their credit Moville never stopped trying for the entire game.

It was 0-03 to 0-01 to Termon after fourteen minutes but Geraldine McLaughlin penalty after she’ debentures fouled and Roisin Friel’s excellent finish to the top corner quickly saw Termon take command.

McLaughlin added a third goal in the 22nd minute and just before half-time, Bridget Gallagher scored another from close range.

Moville missed a number of chances for frees in scoreable positions but Kate McClenaghan kicked a couple of nice points from play.

Charlie Collins was at the Burn Road.

Mya Alcorn added another Termon goal while three from Niamh Hegarty and a third from McClenaghan were rewarded for Moville efforts. Aoife McColgan produced a Brillant one-handed save to deny Termon sub-Jody McFadden but could do nothing about another sub-Nicole McLaughlin’s excellent finish a minute later which left the score 6-08 to 0-07 with ten minutes left.

Termon added a number of points and Geraldine McLaughlin cracked home her third goal in the final minute to wrap up an impressive home side in this opening championship game and from what we have seen of Sean O Donnell’s team in this game and in winning the Donegal Gaeltacht Championships in Gweedore they look
