Listen: Seamus Coleman savours ‘brilliant’ Donegal win

Republic of Ireland captain Seamus Coleman hailed ‘brilliant’ Donegal after their superb semi-final win over Tyrone.

Donegal, the defending champions, roared to a 1-16 to 0-15 win to seal a place in the Ulster final.

Among the 13,579 attendance was Coleman, fresh from last night’s 1-1 draw against Denmark in a Euro 2020 qualifier in Copenhagen

“It was a brilliant victory,” the Killybegs man told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.

“It’s great to see the lads win and play so well.

“It was enjoyable to watch, they we’re very free-flowing. Their attacking play was brilliant to watch at times and Tyrone found them very hard to handle.”

Coleman also reflected on last night’s point at the Parken Stadium.

He said: “We’re very happy with the point and we have to look for three points against Gibraltar. We need to earn the right to win that game.”
