There’s no ‘out-foxing’ these battling creatures!

Four foxes found abandoned across Donegal have been given a soft release back into the wild.

The foxes, two vixens and two dogs (male foxes) were brought to a rehabilitation centre.

Among them was a male fox called Hershey who was found abandoned and alone in the Ballindrait area.

He was brought to the Twin Towns Lost and Found Dogs Centre and then handed over to the Donegal Animals in Need who bottle-fed him and who then gave him to the rehabilitation centre.

A spokesperson for AIN said Hershey and his three pals are now doing really well.

“He has been given excellent care by Mary and is now a stunning looking young fox and has been released along with his girlfriend and friends, in a perfect foxy location.

“Their release is a soft released, where their enclosure has been left open and they r still being fed till they are old enough to not need this anymore and fend for themselves.

“Their new home is a no hunting private property area so they will be safe there for life.”
