Three young kittens had a lucky escape after being dumped inside a box in 20-degree heat in Donegal on Sunday.
In the shocking act of cruelty, the three kittens were found abandoned this evening (July 14) near the castle in Convoy by a member of the public.
It is understood a fosterer for Animals in Need Donegal found the kittens distressed and barely able to breathe.
It is currently unknown how long the kittens may have been inside the box.
A spokesperson for Animals in Need Donegal said: “It’s been one of our hottest days for a while today and these poor kittens were callously dumped in a box, barely any air to breathe.
“They were lucky to be found by one of our fosterer’s dumped by the castle in Convoy this evening.”
