Alan McGinley was the winner of this evening’s Castlefin 5k.

Lifford-Strabane AC’s McGinley led the way in 16 minutes and 42.7 seconds to claim the Adrian Devine perpetual cup.

Eamonn Monaghan of Enniskillen Running Club was second in 18:28.6 with Raphoe Road Runners’ Adrian Murphy third in 18:29.6.

Catriona Devine of Finn Valley was fourth and the leading female, finishing in 19:26.0.

There were 159 participants and the proceeds go to High Five For Conal.

From St Johnston and now based in Letterkenny, Chris was a nominee for NUJ Sports Journalist of the Year in 2010. Honoured by the Donegal Boxing Board in 2016 for his coverage on the sport.
