HARRY ASCROFT was the hero of the hour as Finn Harps secured a rare derby win over Derry City – and here’s how they did it.

Ascroft’s 66th minute header gave Harps only their eighth ever competitive win over their north west foes.

21 minutes into the second half, Tony McNamee – who had just been sent on as a substitute – launched a long throw into the Derry area. Ascroft manoeuvred his way into position and headed past Peter Cherrie
