Dunlewey Celtic to host match in memory of Micheál ‘Roycee’ Roarty

DUNLEWEY CELTIC are hosting a memorial match for Micheál ‘Roycee’ Roarty next weekend.

Dunlewey Celtic have extended an open invitation for the game at Glentornan Park next Sunday, August 4, at 6pm.

In January, Micheál Roarty was one of four young men to be killed instantly when the car in which they were traveling went off the road near Magheraroarty.

Roarty (24) lost his life with those of his friends John Harley (24) from Falcarragh, Sean Harkin (22) from Falcarragh and Daniel Scott, from Gortahork.

Roarty played for Dunlewey Celtic in the Donegal League and had also been a member of the Gaoth Dobhair GAA squad.

Next weekend’s game promises to be a celebration as much as a memorial.

There will be a bouncy castle for the kids and light refreshments available too.

Admission is €10 and proceeds will go to The IKA House in Dublin.
