Gardaí have confirmed they have not received any reports of a fake garda car in Inishowen.
Reports have been circulating on social media in recent days about a mysterious car with flashing lights following people close to the Donegal-Derry border.
It is understood that the reported car is also cream in colour and has a Cork registration.
Gardaí in Buncrana said they had received no reports of a fake garda car operating on the peninsula and urged anyone to report it to their local garda station if they see such a vehicle.
