Miss Donegal 2019 Holly Mc Crea has come up with a sweet idea to raise funds for the pageant’s charity of the year.
As Donegal’s representative in the Miss Ireland finals, Holly (23) is hoping to bring the county together to enjoy an elegant vintage tea party for a great cause.
The afternoon tea fundraiser is taking place in The Cove B&B in Donegal Town on Saturday 10th August from 12noon to 3pm.
All proceeds will go towards Variety Ireland, the national children’s charity which helps children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs. Variety Ireland is the ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ charity partner of the Miss Ireland pageant for 2019.
Holly, who works as a secondary school teacher in Donegal, is passionate about supporting young people with special needs. She is also a volunteer at the Bluestacks Special Needs Foundation.
Everyone is welcome to Holly’s Tea Party on Saturday. Donations will be accepted on the day and there will also be a raffle with some fantastic spot prizes.
If you can’t make the event, donations can be made online at: https://www.gofundme.com/f/vintage-tea-party-for-variety-ireland
Holly is one of three women from Donegal who are competing in the Miss Ireland competition this year. The final takes place on the 14th September at The Helix in Dublin, where Miss Letterkenny Anna Gallagher and Miss Kildare Naomi Molloy, who is from Glenties, will also be competing for the crown.
