More roadworks beginning in Letterkenny this week

Another set of roadworks is beginning in Letterkenny this Tuesday.

Motorists are warned to expect more delays as works commence on the Neil T Blaney Road.

Temporary diversions will be in place during the day, while traffic lights will be in operation at night-time.

Donegal County Council has said that two-way traffic will be maintained on the route during the day. However, there may be some disruptions and motorists should plan for extra travel time.

The latest roadworks come at a time when Irish Water projects are causing major travel delays in parts of Letterkenny.

Temporary traffic lights which are facilitating a one-way system at Old Town Road are causing tailbacks in the area at busy times. This phase of works, which is part of the Letterkenny Sewerage Scheme, will run for another three weeks.

Meanwhile, a temporary road closure on the Glencar Road is due to continue until the 30th of August.
